Culture and the Arts

Culture and the Arts are integral to the life of St Eugene College, involving students, staff and parents. The various Culture and the Arts opportunities focus on students developing the ability to think and express themselves creatively, while making friends and building confidence.

Junior Dance Troupes (Years 3-6) and Senior Dance Troupes (Years 7-10) allow students to engage in the excitement of dance and have opportunities to perform at assemblies, events and eisteddfods.

Musicals occur every second year, combining acting, singing and dance. Our 7-12 College Musical for 2018, Bring It On, was a smash hit!

The College Vocal Group is a choir made up of students from years 7-12. Students lend their voices to numerous College events, including masses and assemblies.

There are a number of Ensembles and Bands of which students may be members: Concert Bands, Strings Ensembles, Guitar Ensemble, Marching Drumline, That 80s Band and The Jazz Band.

Instrumental Music lessons are offered to students: Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Guitar and Keyboard.

AMEB Music Tutoring is available outside of school hours. Many students can elect to sit the official AMEB exams, gaining qualifications and QCE points.
